- Steps to qualify Forest Guard Examination :-
Candidates need to pass total 3 steps to get forest guard job.
1) Written Test
2) Physical examination
3) Walking test
1) Written Test
In the written examination, 1 question of 2 marks carries 200 marks out of 100 questions, so the candidate will not get total marks out of 200 marks.
A candidate securing at least 40% marks (80 marks as per 40% of 200 marks written test) or more in this written test will be eligible for the second stage of Physical Ability Test (Physical Test). Out of the eligible candidates 8 times or more of the vacancies to be filled on the basis of district wise and category wise merit will be called for physical fitness test.

2) Physical examination
(I) Candidates will be called as per administrative convenience for physical fitness test in which candidates will have to appear at their own expense.
(II) A candidate who fails / does not attend the physical ability test on the date, time and place fixed as above will not be given an additional opportunity to clear the physical ability test.
(II) Physical ability test norms as per Appendix-2 of The Forest Guard, Class-III, Competitive Examination For Direct Recruitment Rules, 2016
is as follows.
3) Walking test
(I) Among the successful candidates in both the written examination and physical ability test stages, eligible candidates for district wise, category wise appointments will have to pass the walking test. In which the male candidate has to complete 25 kilometers in 4 hours and the female candidate has to complete 14 kilometers in 4 hours.
(II) Candidates who do not clear the walking test in the first instance / are absent will be given a second chance. Candidates who do not clear the walking test/are absent even in the second chance will not be given another chance under any circumstances.
There is no oral interview for this exam
